The Maeght Gallery presents recent works of Aki Kuroda to Armory Show in New York of March 4, 2010.

Aki Kuroda remains regularly in New York City and he works evolves at the rate of his return ticket. He likes, since always, to confront and immerse himself in the earth of large capitals and to develop his concept “Cosmocity”. His concept became a dominating share in its pictorial universe, extremely diversified and always renewed, where clash its various styles of painting. It presents a daily universe, reinterpreted by its eyes, where the city with the too rational forms becomes a space of meeting between the spectators and the creators.

Recent works of Aki Kuroda presented in the Armory Show deploy the log book of its life in New York, amalgamating the memory of its dreams and the concept of a new urban landscape.

Aki Kuroda exposes to the European House of Photography in Paris of June 23 to August 29, 2010.

Travel journals of its stays in New York, the exposure “Cosmogarden New York City” recalls the ballades and trips of Aki Kuroda in this city. Through ten photographs and ten drawings, as well as a large panel of collage, Aki Kuroda reveals us various mosaics of New York.

Thanks to this exhibition, the Grâce à cette exposition, la European House of Photography presents a less known share, but not less important, Kuroda 's extremely diversified pictorial activity , for which photography was always omnipresent in its work.

These recent photographs of New York gives the possibility to the public to discover how the eye of the artist apprehends this mégapole.
