Giacometti exhibition at the Fondation Maeght

From June 27th to October 31th, 2010, the Fondation Maeght presents an exceptional retrospective of Alberto Giacometti's work.

Giacometti & Maeght 1946-1966, brings together at the same time the most amazing pieces of work ever created by the artist, among which bronzes: The walking man, the Dog, the Cat. Are also exposed paintings, plasters and drawings, lent by large national and international museum or private collections. Certain works are presented for the first time to the public The Maeght Foundation also pays a tribute to The artist. Twenty years of friendship bound Alberto Giacometti and Aimé Maeght. Twenty years of collaboration, exchanges and of glances shared on creation. An intimacy revealed through mails, films and portraits which will give to the visitor a new view on Alberto Giacometti.

Envisaged for a long time, this exhibition contains more than 170 major works allowing the visitor in the artiste intimacy. This retrospective is one of the greatest artistic event of 2010.
