Isabelle Maeght received from the hands of the Minister of Culture and Communication Frédéric Mitterrand, the insignes de Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Légion d’honneur. The ceremony took place in the heart of the ministry of Culture. Among the guests one could have recognized around the Maeght family : Jacques Monory, Patrick de Carolis, Marco Del Re, Alain Chabat, Elsa Zilberstein, Olivier Picasso, Paul Lombard, Alain Seban, president of the Centre Pompidou, Georges Kiejman, Marc Lambron, Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, Yan Pei Ming. Herrou
 
The artist Alexandre Herrou just received the prize of the Beaux Arts Academy, prize Pierre Cardin for the less than 30 years old artists with the guitars serie made at the Arte Printing House and published by Maeght Editeur.

New Opening Hours
 

For Christmas the Galerie Maeght will be opening from monday to saturday from 9h30 to 19 and the sunday 13th and 20th december from 10h30 to 18h30.

Exceptionally the gallery will be closed on the saturday 2nd january 2010.
 
Abu Dhabi Art 2009 | 19 - 22 November

For the second time at the Abu dhabi Art fair the galerie maeght is now proud to present Joan Miró and his work, including a master piece from 1960. The Artist worked exclusively with the Gallery Maeght from 1947 until his death in 1983.

Tribute in Saint-Emilion

In addition to the opening of the Ilôt Bonnac decorated by Marco Del re in the city of Bordeaux, the historic village of St Emilion is presenting an important exhibition from the Italian Artist. In the heart of the Salle des Dominicain, Francois Querre president of Grandes heures de St Emilion, assembled paintings, drawings, lithography, tapestry and sculpture.

Exhibition Salle des Dominicain, St Emilion until the 29th of November. Open everyday from 10h till 12h and from 14h till 18h. Closed every Monday. Read the press

Upcoming at the Galerie Maeght a drawing exhibition with the work of Gasiorowski, Neumann, Oh Sufan, Rebeyrolle and Tàpies from the 3 december 2009 to the 6 february 2010.
